Coffee Machine Servicing and Maintenance

COFFEE MACHINE SERVICING PLAN

Traditional Espresso Machines – Your coffee machine won’t last forever, however, you can make the machine last longer with consistent service and maintenance. You can preserve your coffee machine lifespan by sticking to a regular coffee machine servicing plan. This can increase equipment uptime – avoiding lost revenue whilst a machine is awaiting repair. Regular coffee equipment servicing also helps reduce reactive breakdowns and assists with potentially extending the life of your machine.

What’s included in a machine service:

Machine Service:

  • 1-2 hours labour
  • New group valves
  • New group solenoids / new shower plates and group seals
  • New anti vac valve
  • Refurbished steam and hot water valves

Boiler Inspection:
Your coffee machine must have an up-to-date boiler certificate. The Health & Safety at Work Act [1974] requires that all work equipment should comply with statutory workplace regulations. To adhere to this, the coffee boiler requires a periodic examination by a qualified boiler inspector. This inspection is a requirement of the Pressure System Safety Regulations [2000] and needs to be carried out in accordance with a “written scheme of examination”.

Brita Filter Change:
A calcium treatment unit will reduce the hardness in the water, thus preventing scale. Scale is a coffee machine’s worst enemy should this be left unchanged; scale will build up and may end up resulting in a costly de-scale process to remove it. Additionally, a boiler inspector will not certify a machine as fit for use if there is evidence of a high scale build up.
